When Pain is a Liar

There are times when pain, whether physical or emotional, and feeling alone is being used by the enemy of our souls as a tool to bring us down, and keep us down. Be wise, learn to discern.

Often – just like the enemy of our souls – pain and loneliness are liars; they deceive us into believing they are here to stay, that we cannot get out of the circumstance. Therefore, while in the midst of the throws of emotion and pain one must learn to pray to hear and receive instead of succumbing to what we believe our body and mind say. Additionally, we as the brethren of those suffering must ALSO learn to discern when people are in pain, instead of simply awaiting people to ask for prayer. Many do not ask. Our spiritual eyes need to learn to recognize a need unspoken or disguised.
Remember, “…be sober, be vigilant; because your advisory the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” (1 Pet 5:8-9)
