(This is a personal note on my "why" in the title, Writing Down Life.)
“Writing is both an innate ability and a beloved form of expression for me. It is a blessing and gift from The Father, that I enjoy most when done for His glory! I am grateful and know it is part of my purpose in life, in service and obedience, to inspire and encourage others.”
Writing, across my life thus far and in all of its exhaustive forms, has been the creative expression which best suited me. It chose me at a young age and it has been a gift to hone, cherish, and grow through. A balm to my once very chaotic soul.
The gift of writing was recognized and encouraged by others; a respected high school journalism/English teacher who saw the darkest parts of my mind through writing assignments and called them beautiful, which allowed me space to bring forth childhood and adolescent trauma, setting them free in a safe way so they were no longer trapped in my mind.
The result: hundreds of poems, a plethora of journals, a popular online publication, then this blog. In 2018 my second book was published - a memoir based on testimony of coming to faith, then redeemed by grace after a lifetime of being bound.
A long, private, sordid journey of the Lover of my soul meant to incite healing from the deepest crevices of my heart and mind. Then being moved to witness the raw Truth to others so they too might be encouraged to let themselves be 'okay' in their own life experiences.
Today, I stand oh so proudly in adoration and awe, on the other side of over 16 years of obedience and in allowing my LORD, my Creator, and the Holy Spirit, to heal every source of pain I have endured since birth. They have lovingly and patiently ministered me back to a life overflowing with The Living Water (Jesus) which is ours for the taking, so that we may be restored to Father God's purpose in creating us in utero. (And, just as all are, I am a work in progress - enduring 'till the end.)
Now, friends, I write to you after being poured into a new wineskin and walking into a renewed purpose in this exciting season of life. I do hope you will continue to be a participant and beneficiary of this (my) faith walk; that the wisdom shared through the power of my testimony, life experiences, spiritual and biblical understanding, and training to serve others as a certified, faith-based, Trauma & Crisis Informed, Mental Health, Neurological, and Life Coach!
I am so excited to begin this new season in walking with you toward shalom (peace and complete wellness) and "writing down life" while on a journey toward a restored and abundant life!
In God's love,
Stacey Louiso
