Try to focus on producing fruit of the Spirit instead of instantly grabbing a negative, then those unpredictable and unexpected moments become easier to navigate, even when they are difficult or undesirable.
Seek God’s loving hand in all things!

I have a question with re: to “Try to focus on producing fruit of the spirit, instead of instantly grabbing a negative.” The words put a question in my mind. Can we produce fruit of the spirit? I guess in my mind, I think of Holy Spirit producing fruit in us. I do think I have learned that when I try to have more fruit of the spirit/try to live with more fruit…..it pretty much doesn’t happen. But when I focus on Him…..it seems like that is when I notice more hopeful signs of the fruit in my life.
?Fruit of the Spirit develops when we are connected to the vine/root, Our responses to “life” become more loving, joyful, peaceful etc.??
Hi Mona, you are correct. However, the perspective from which I wrote this, it is still a choice we must make to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to produce anything of the Lord. And, there are times in life when we are walking through rough or dry seasons when we do not realize we are grabbing at the rotting, low-hanging fruit and must work to get back to a place of being in alignment with the Holy One, and that is another thing we must “choose” to do.
