“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NASB)
That is how the chapter ends…
My eyes are heavy and hard to keep open as I sit here waiting to be led. I feel the crash of my fatigued body, waiting to give in.
After over a month of steady revelation there was a sudden disruption in my life. It was nothing life threatening, no, actually it was probably soul saving. If I had chosen to see it as a spiritual attack, I certainly could have. And, perhaps in part, it was that sort of interruption. But as always, my LORD turned a stressful situation into something good. My iMac crashed. My online life came to a bit of a halt but life itself did not end. (Whew, what a travesty this is to some!) Instead, I sought Him…I asked if this was his will. I asked my LORD how he would have me spent this time. In turn, Adonai whispered two things, “There is more.” And, later. “It is time for a comeback.”
Mmmm mmmm mmmm…the sweet aroma of His beautiful spirit pouring out is more fragrant than the mimosa tree blooming outside of my kitchen window. More beautiful than the single hibiscus bush with pink flowers. This was so much more than a time of refreshing, it was a re-ignition. I am not going to get into the trenches here and now, just know He has not been silent and I have been very still in his grip.
“At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to infants.” (v. 25)
This is going to be a very _______ series. It may take a while so make some tea, get in your comfy chair, and be prepared for riveting conversation. (Yes, let us make it as such, please!) In the meantime, while I am still trying to get this new tech up and at ’em, and carve out time to catch up with all that has been revealed – I covet your prayers, in beseeching His covering like the Iron Dome over my life, please and thank you. 🙂
This comes before…
“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call out to the other children, 17 and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a song of mourning, and you did not mourn.’ 18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a heavy drinker, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ And yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds…20 Then He began to reprimand the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent.” (Mathew 11:16-20 NASB)
