The post below is not of my crafting. This is copied from the Daniel Trust Ministries website. I had it published in the background of a post I wrote that discussed this topic. I decided to make it more public as I feel it’s a good resource for others who don’t know how to begin to allow the Lord to work in them, in order to be loosed of all the dark influences under which they operate.

Pray to be set free from the captivity of Generational sin
Thank you Lord Jesus, that you have rescued me from the kingdom of darkness and brought me into the Kingdom of Light. You have redeemed me with Your precious blood and I belong to you. I have been born again and I am a member of the family of God. Jesus is my Lord.
I am also a member of the human family. I identify with them and confess that we have sinned and broken Your laws. We have done this in thought, word and deed and in particular by involvement in…………………………………………………………….

I forgive my ancestors for the consequences of their sins that have affected me. I take responsibility for the ways in which I have repeated their sins and I repent of my sin. Please forgive me.
I pray this in Jesus Name. Amen
Pray to receive cleansing from the consequences of Generational iniquities
In the Name of Jesus, I confess, renounce and revoke every curse, vow, oath, decision, choice contract and covenant made by my forbears (and by myself) in agreement with the will of Satan and the powers of darkness, at any time, in any place, with any person and any purpose choose today to come inline with the will of God, under the new covenant of the precious blood of Jesus, which cleanses me from all sin.
Appropriating what Jesus bought for me on the cross of Calvary. I take the sword of the Spirit and cut all Generational links in His mighty Name. Thank you that I am now parented by Father God. I am His child.
I thank you Jesus that you bear all the iniquity in my life and I therefore claim freedom from all curses, hereditary diseases and other consequences
of the sins of my forbears.
I ask it in Jesus Name.
