Prayer and Hope

God led me to the following scripture, found in the Holy Bible (Old Testament in the book of Isaiah) and offered it as a Prayer for those reading “Morning Walks”:

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55: 8-12)

Translated, these beautiful words, spoken to the Prophet Isaiah by God, mean (this is the Holy Spirit interpreting it through me):

As easily as the rain and snow fall from above and they nourish the earth, so do these words He speaks, bring life to those who seek Him. That nothing He speaks or bestows, that reaches an ear or a heart, shall return to him empty but to fulfill something that is of His desire. (Both those who sow seeds (giver) and those who (eat) reap.) That God’s desire is for you (the recipient) to walk forward with joy and peace in your heart and spirit; that everything around you, shall rejoice in recognition, for they too are God’s creation and beneficiaries of his reigning grace.
