OH, How He LOVES Us…God loves us so much, he came to us incarnate so He could relate to us on a deeper level; a God who walked among his creation so he could SHOW us the power He contains, first hand. Giving his pride and joy (and we are this) a savior to whom they could turn … I’ll never forget the night that I finally gained complete understanding of this and what it means. It happened over a year after I’d recommitted my life to Christ. It also happened to be on Christmas Eve during that night’s enlightening and unconventional church service.
I knew it. I believed it…yet, it just hadn’t completely connected; it was lost in transmission somewhere between my brain and my heart. Oh, but once it did, I began to gain an understanding of God that keeps me awestruck!
God loves us so much that he came to us incarnate, born under grave circumstances with a death warrant on his head, born to a teenage virgin who was herself tormented by people who didn’t believe – he shall be called Jesus the angel relayed …in the end, after only 33 years, he was put to death in the most unimaginable fashion possible – after having been nearly beaten to death and made to carry a seriously heavy cross to the hill where he would be nailed to it – and left to bleed to death in public. (Which was not cause of death…). He then was laid to rest in a tomb, dressed in white raiment and after three days fulfilled the Old Testament prophesy of being raised from the dead. His work was nearly done but there were a few people to whom He needed to show himself before ascending into heaven until the day he comes again…
While God was here, living as Christ Jesus, he showed us His omnipotence -BUT we, being imperfect, (with the exception of a few who faithfully followed) didn’t comprehend what was right in front of our eyes – within our grasp – denying him then, as so many do now.
Jesus, was and is, the answer to your prayers…in fact he intercedes your prayers to God…so if you do not believe in Jesus, if you do not accept Jesus…how then will God hear and answer you? Yes, yes he hears you…but DOES HE ANSWER YOU? How do I get to know God, you may wonder? It’s simple…invite the greatest love you’ll ever experience to come and live in your heart. Accept Jesus, Son of God…THE Word. THE Truth. THE Way. THE Light…as your Lord and savior. But be aware of what you are asking for upon doing so…
After accepting Jesus into your life:
- You’ll experience a regeneration. A renewal of your entire being: mind, body and spirit.
- You’ll be born again (a new creation). Upon being baptized by water, you’ll invite the Holy Spirit (the spirit of the Lord) to dwell within you. He will become your healer, comforter and confident, every day for eternity.
- Experience His omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence stronger than ever. You are now the temple of such power and the closer you draw to Him the more you’ll experience these things.
- Your walk with the Lord…Is it an easy life to live? No.
- Wonder: Is it worth walking away from sin, from the ways of the world, to be loved unconditionally and to gain the most amazing peace and joy you’ll ever experience? Absolutely!

Would you like to learn more about Jesus? If so, please reach out to me, a friend, a pastor. Or, you can begin with reading the Holy Bible which is the Word of God. The absolute Truth. It is divided into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. You can also learn more about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, by reading other posts on this blog…
If you know about Jesus and are ready to accept his grace and mercy into your life, I have copied a prayer below that you can say aloud as an invitation to Him. But please, I implore that after you do so, don’t stop there. Let me know – I can help you find a church nearby if you aren’t attending, or direct you to one of the many online communities/church bodies available. It is important for you to be mentored during your walk so you are empowered, supported and gain Biblical knowledge. Read the Bible daily for scripture is there to teach us and help us in our walk.
You can say the prayer below if you have a.) never accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior or b.) if you once accepted Christ, but have been a prodigal son or daughter, and would like to recommit your life to Christ. (I was “b”…and 35 yrs old, just so you understand that it’s never too late…):
Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
