Together for Christ: The United “Church”

I am putting this out there because I am being led to – TODAY. This is not meant to bash anyone, any ministry or lead people to abandon things: If you look for evil in everything, you will find evil in everything.Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” (Romans 12:9 ESV) Together for Christ: The united “church” should stand but we are divided more by the day. Is this a part of the great falling off?

People forget that God ordains even the evil, dark things of this world, for whatever reason he has:

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7 KJV)

It is written…that evil doers, false teachers and prophets, hate mongers, etc., exist: yesterday, today and tomorrow. But don’t forget Jesus and those within whom He resides have authority over Satan. Witchcraft, which by means of the Jezebel and Lucifer Spirits that still roam amongst us, is also able to infiltrate the church. I am not naive to this and neither should you be!

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.” (2 Peter 2:1 ESV)

But what I’m seeing, and it’s really turning me against Facebook especially, is how people are just blatantly slandering pastors. They see and I believe react instead of prayerfully asking God to reveal the truth before speaking out. I’m not saying we aren’t to call them out, we are; however, we have to test the spirits in the person themselves, not simply judge! Not only are they slandering pastors, artists, etc., but anyone who might ask them to look closer. Just asking…not telling them they are incorrect. We are being divided by people who think they are doing right by God. I pray these people (some of them “ministry” leaders themselves) are honestly being led by the Holy Spirit and not by the flesh as were Peter and Judas Iscariot!

You see, I have been in this gut wrenching position; God used me to call out a false teacher at a church I once attended. It was not fun. I’m not even sure the person realized what they were doing – but how they were trying to lead the sheep of this flock (at the time, youth), was damaging. Others witnessed it and were whispering about it but for some reason He used me. I prayed and meditated in scripture. I wrestled with the Holy Spirit…I prayed more and sought wise counsel…until one day I was literally laying on the sofa in tears over a letter God composed through me, to give to this person. It was VERY difficult. (I felt like Elijah running from Jezebel!)

God soon led me away from that church, for my own protection and growth. A little over a year later, this person started to fall from his position, all on his own (and hopefully with God’s grace and mercy beneath him). This was probably the first time he used me in such a difficult situation, but since then it’s been a constant in my life, probably because I continually surrender myself to being an open vessel for Jesus Christ to use.

There are certain large churches, “movements” and popular “ministers” who the Holy Spirit has shown me or put a “stop” in my spirit and mind not to trust. I’m not going to name names because I’m not being provoked to but I trust His Spirit within me. I pray that God changes their direction because these people influence a lot of people!

I have seen hundreds of people bashing the “Together 2016” event that occurred on the National Mall in Washington DC on July 16, 2016. This event was meant to unify the ecumenical church (all denominations) but according to some, was a blatant display of apostasy. The bad-mouthing began months beforehand: people were targeting some of the musical talent that were asked to participate. I witnessed, via social media, people who do not personally know these artist’s but were fans, turn on them. It seemed that as soon as these people saw their names listed as participants, fans were suddenly judging and harassing them, calling them heretics and fake Christians! This is how I have been led to view it:

“Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?” (Romans 9:21 ESV)

I did not have a chance to view this event as it was streamed online so I cannot judge for myself what occult activity was supposedly being played out. Alas, I trust that God knows what he is doing and if He wants to punish anyone who may have had bad intentions by creating and participating in this “Christian” event, He will. OR…The Lord could also use His light shining through those with pure intentions in very powerful ways to change hearts, regardless of the intent of someone else. He is sovereign!

“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36 KJV)

One website I came across was audacious enough to call every single person on the roster of speakers and performers, false teachers. I’m sorry but this is preposterous! Anyone who could say Francis Chan  is a false teachers has obviously never experienced this man’s pouring out for the Lord! I’m not apathetic by any means but sometimes people forget how to let God be God in all things.

My prayer:

Lord God, I pray this night that you will bring upon that shift on the horizon you keep placing in my Spirit, and soon! That if the times are looking forward to Jesus Christ’s return, you continue to prepare our hearts to be your warriors on this earth. I pray that you lead us and convict us as YOU see fit, not as haughty man sees fit. This world is getting chaotic and people are getting scared, even those whom profess Jesus Christ as their Savior. I see how words spit out in reaction, not in faith, are instigating fear and we know that fear is not of You. Give them your divine correction Lord. Show us, your laborers, how You desire us to lead the lost to you and call out those whom may be trying to devour our brethren! Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice on this earth so we may know you in heaven! Amen.
