Life has been keeping me pretty busy the past couple of months, therefore I have not had much time to add posts to this blog. The best happenings in my life are always the never anticipated way in which the LORD moves me around, and uses me as a vessel of His love and grace in the lives of others. I have been productive for the Kingdom of God, just not writing very much. I do have some posts that will come after this update; one being something I’ve had to allow the Holy Spirit time to cultivate what will be shared. Another a praise report. Amen!
The first order of exciting news:
I received my first royalty check from sales of Bound by Seduction, Redeemed by Grace – quite unexpectedly, as I didn’t anticipate receiving one until the 3rd quarter – since every penny earned from the sale of the book is being invested in The Potter’s Clay Cafe, I immediately knew how it would be spent: I’ll be going on a mission the LORD has put on my heart, to share God’s love, exactly as He has been showing me this ministry would work. A sister and friend in Pikeville, Kentucky was describing her elderly neighbor to me, and afterward what she shared burned in my heart. After some prayer, I knew there was no coincidence Hannah shared with me about this man. God is sending me there in September.
The royalty check was small, as it was only for a couple of weeks worth of book sales, and prior to my actually releasing the book. I prayed for God to double the amount. Days later an opportunity for me to pick up side-work came to me…I knew this was God’s way of answering my prayer. And being the Awesome provider he is, the amount wasn’t doubled, it was tripled, amen! Now I have what I need to fuel my SUV and carry out the directions of the mission.
Another wonderful occurrence this past month was the launch of an anthology I lent a story to: Candid Conversations: Real Women. Real Life. Real Faith. You can learn more about the book and order it, here: http://candidlychristian.com/candid-conversations/
Lastly, I finished up my 6 month stay at the Defying Shadows website as a contributing blogger. I was asked to continue on but it was time to depart. Here are parts 5 and 6 of the series, “A Family’s Perspective of Addiction.”
One last announcement: In the coming weeks I will be offering a limited time download of a chapter from Bound by Seduction, Redeemed by Grace. This will lead up to a give-a-way: I will be giving away 1 signed copy of the book to one blessed reader of this blog. More details to come so please check back soon!
May the good Lord continue to bless and keep you!
In His Grace,
Stacey
